For many, Cloud Technology has become part of their everyday language. There are 13,149 influencers driving the conversation around Cloud online, and in 2019 there were 32.5 million social media posts on the topic. So it’s safe to say, it’s spoken about quite a lot. Looking at various cloud services it’s easy to see that their popularity is on the rise, with AWS (Amazon Web Services) generating revenue of $9.95 billion in Q4 of 2019, a 34% increase compared to 2018.

While the Cloud feels like it’s here to stay, what it is and does has been quietly shifting and transforming beneath our feet. With the next jump up the s-curve behaving more like a re-organization and a perspective shift. With this change happening quietly, and because ear trumpets being broadly ineffective in the digital world; we’ve brought you the top 100 Cloud influencers.

We analyzed over 8 million Cloud-related posts from 1st January 2019 – 31st December 2019. We then identified the top 100 most influential individuals leading the discussion on social media. Below you can see a network map of the online conversation around Cloud. The top influencer Corey Quinn is at the centre highlighted in blue. This map was created using the Onalytica platform. The ranking analyses a variety of personas from industry experts, to social amplifiers and content creators as well as journalists and politicians so there’s quite a mix of influencers that have been identified.

We looked at all the individuals engaging on Twitter to bring you a list of the top influential experts discussing Cloud. Below we have a list of the top 50 influencers discussing Cloud online.
